Passing of the Baton

Today I got to practice my surgical skills. I took a fresh scalpel blade and dissected Mike's banana and planted the ring. My skills need a little polishing, there was a little more ecchymosis than I expected

Special K

We have this professor, Dr. Kalekas, who teaches Physical Diagnosis and he tells us a joke at teh beginning of every lecture. Some are crude, some are clean, but all are funny. I will start writing them down. As of now here is just a list of some:

Some buttonhole has my pen.
Hillbilly Vasectomy
$1000
Referrals and Vacation
Alley Beatdown to Pearly Gate

Volleyball + Hockey = Med School Pong

When opposing team attempts to hit a 'set shot' the soon to be receiving team member can attempt to block the 'spike'. This can be accomplished by any means necessary. They can use the paddle, arms, chest, screaming, and a direct body check to setter or spiker is allowed to disrupt the shot. This is especially encouraged when receiving team is at game point and a successful 'set' shot would win the game.

This is a gamble! Only the returning player can do this. If block is missed, and shot enters into play, it is that persons turn to return the ball. Their teammate cannot return it.

Lord of The Ring

So over a year ago, we found this metal ring. we have no idea what it is or where it comes from, or what it is for, but for all intents and purposes, for us it gives us another tool for laughter. Last year, when Mike and I were completing our Masters at Touro, we started hiding this in random places, in places that would lead us to eventually find it. That tradition literally has continued for over a year now. Doug and Nate are now participants in the game of hide and go seek. As you can see here, it ended up on my locker. Other places this little beauty has found it self are, but not limited to: car antennas, backpacks, fish tanks, drinks, chip bags, drawstring loops, cadaver lab coats, wallets, tied to shoelaces, microphone battery space, under shoe insoles, hats, refrigerators, tied to strings under tables, under seat cushions, it even found itself in the right ventricle of Doug's body. Silly we know, but funny none the less. I consider it like a prolonged game of Old Maid. Nobody really knows who else has it, and where it is but the person who hid it, and the person who is soon to find it.

What Does Your 2'oclock Feel Like?

Today was a good day for humor. We discovered that we had a classmate that resembled Moes from The Office, I was told by a girl that somebody made her "cry in her pants" when she meant to say "pee her pants", and then to top it all off we had Doug show the world what he is learning in Medical School. Feel proud Bethany, this is what you are going into debt for.

What you see here is what Nate Barney has for his computer. We like to take the little USB drive when he is gone, falling asleep, not paying attention, and hide it in random locations. It never gets old to see how many times he wiggles the mouse to try and get the curser to move on the screen before he figures out that the USB part is gone. This is when we all erupt in laughter. One time we left the USB and took out the battery for the mouse and this left Nate even more confused. Even better is seeing our "little buddy" trying to find it behind doors, in the ceiling, or in walls. Never gets old!

lil Kim

So, last saturday i was in "throw everything out that we haven't used or seen in 3 years" mode, when i came across some old mannequin heads that shannon used to practice on. I threw them away, but not before i snuck one in my back pack. Michael Blatter soon found it in his locker. Then, Dan Bollard found it on his desk. It now proudly sits on the Anatomy Cadavor Lab book shelf. Their faces were priceless.
